They had a day of errands ahead of them and Andromeda wanted to get started on them as soon as possible. Once Nymphadora had gotten up that morning, she proceeded to feed her breakfast and then allowed her to have some free time to play before they went out. The young child was so entertained in her playtime that getting ready to go anywhere was out of the question. With a defiant, and loud “NO!” Nymphadora ran to her room, Andromeda sighed and walked from her own bedroom to the room adjacent from it. She saw the mess of toys that littered the floor; it made her dread the work she would have to do later on, what she didn’t see was her daughter. The first place Andromeda thought to look was under the covers of the bed since they looked as if there might have been a certain child hiding under them, but there was nothing. She then looked under the bed but there was nothing there besides toys and a shoe that Andromeda had been trying to find for days. Pushing herself off of the ground Andromeda got an idea “Hmm…I wonder where my ickle Dora is?” she said as she sat on her bed, being as quiet as possible she heard a soft giggle come from the closet. Pretending that she hadn’t heard Andromeda sat there for a moment or two before rising once more and walking to the door. As she went she purposefully said “Well, I don’t know where my beautiful daughter could be, so I suppose I’ll go get ice-cream without her.” Meda was pleased that her methods worked as Dora opened her closet door and came running out “I want ice-cream, Mummy!” Nymphadora squeaked, wrapping her arms around her mother’s waist, Andromeda laughed as she swooped her daughter up in her arms “Let’s get dressed then hmm?” She asked, already heading back to her bedroom to get her daughter dressed for the day ahead of them. Her blue haired, purple eyed daughter. Yes, blue hair and purple eyes, her daughter was a metamorphmagus. They were rare, Andromeda and Ted were lucky enough to have one born to them. While her ability was a blessing since they rarely had to guess what she was feeling, it was also irritating when you had to force her to do something normal with her appearance. Just like the blue hair, the purple eyes were going to have to go. That was the least of her worries though, the biggest issue was going to be getting Nymphadora dressed to go, it was almost as hard as getting her ready for bed. Andromeda set Dora on the ground and slid the night gown off and threw it aside for the time being, she could pick it up later. She decided to put her in a brown short sleeved shirt with pink, red, orange, blue, and white flowers and blue jean skirt that had a multicolor butterfly and flower on it. She paired that with a pair of brown shoes that had different colored flowers on them as well. Now that Nymphadora was dressed, it was time to style her hair. Stroking her daughters hair, Andromeda asked “Can you fix your hair for Mummy?” a smile faint on her features. Dora didn’t argue with that but nodded and slowly her short blue hair turned to a mousy brown color and grew in length, until it reached a little past her shoulders. That had become Nymphadora’s favorite “normal” hair color as of late, and it was so reminiscent of her husband that it made Andromeda miss him just a little less while he was at work. “Thank you precious.” Meda placed a kiss on her daughter’s hair and conjured up a small heart barrette with a wave of her wand. It was a pretty turquoise color and a very dear heirloom to Andromeda, as it was a gift that she had received from her Aunt Isla at a young age. Even if she no longer saw her dear great-aunt, things like that still mattered. At least they did to Andromeda, and the only reason she allowed Nymphadora to use this small one was because she owned a larger version of it and the pair of them had taken to wearing them on the same day lately. It was a sort of mother-daughter tradition that Ted claimed ‘he would never understand’ which she really didn’t expect him to. Andromeda summoned up her brush that was on her bedside table and then ran it through her daughter’s brown, straight hair. She sectioned of a small part of her hair and used the barrette to pin it back, giving it the illusion of being half up and half down. Now that Nymphadora was completely ready, Andromeda told her that she was going to be allowed to run off and play while she got ready to go. Dora seemed to ignore her mother as she sat down in the middle of the floor and just stared at Andromeda, who just rolled her eyes and went to her closet to dress. Stripping out of her pajamas, she sent the dirty garments to the laundry room with just a flick of her wand and then dressed. She reemerged, fully clothed, to see that Nymphadora was still sitting there. Curious, and a little worried, she dared to ask “Are you alright, Dora?” And she just got a simple nod. Convinced, Andromeda walked over to her vanity and sat on the chair that was in front of the mirror. She applied the little bit of makeup that she generally wore and then started on her hair. She took her own barrette and started to section off her hair just as she had done her daughter’s just moments before. Then she took her wand and started moving it in a looped fashion, as she did so her dark brown hair started to curl. She did this until her head was covered in perfect curls and she was pleased with her look. Once that was squared away, she walked over to where Nymphadora was playing with a pair of shoes she found lying around and sat in front of her daughter, who still had deep purple eyes “Nymphadora, can you make your eyes like mummy or daddy’s?” Dora nodded and seemed to consider it for a moment before her eyes changed to a clear blue that greatly resembled her mother’s “That’s a good girl.” She said happily and Dora smiled before saying “Can we have ice-cream now?” An impatient expression gracing her features. Andromeda rolled her eyes “In a little bit, Mummy needs to get some money first.” Dora sort of grunted before reaching up for her mother to hold her. Andromeda obliged and scooped her daughter up once more, and soon started walking through the house and then out the front door. Once they were past the gate at the front of their home Andromeda was able to disapparate, which she did with a pop and then she was in Diagon Alley. The feeling was similar to that of being stuck in a tiny room with no air at all, it was a off-putting feeling but Andromeda was so used to it by now that most of the unpleasantness was gone. Meda set Dora down and grabbed the three year old by the hand, together the two of them started to walk down the cobbled streets of Diagon Alley. Nymphadora looked around, entertained until they reached Gringotts, the wizard bank. The building was huge and inside there was a high standing desk that even Andromeda had some problems seeing over. She had hoped to get to her vault quickly but once she entered she noted that there were several people of ahead of her. This was going to be quite a wait. 1, 345 words for bellatrix lestrange. wearing this. muse is okay. |
