The streets of Hogsmeade were not that crowded as she suspected they were. A young blonde haired teenager raised an eyebrow slightly. She stared around at everything with sparkling blue eyes as she pulled her traveling silver and green cloak around her. People looked at her as she passed them. Aureila Thomas ignored them, biting on the inside of her cheek. She always hated it when people stared at her. It annoyed her to no end and would end up hurting them if they didn’t stop it. She checked her pockets as an afterthought, to make sure that her wand was still there. She had left the Thomas Mansion without it before and the result wasn’t at all that enjoyable. She remembered she had returned back home with a couple of cuts on her cheek and severally shaking from having the Cruciatus Curse being placed on her. Her parents showed no pity. Even Kevin had told her that she had deserved it and she would never do it again. Stupid father, Reila thought to herself as she reached up to play with a necklace. The necklace held a small snake pendant and it was decorated in silver and green, the Slytherin colors. Reila remembered being extremely nervous as the Sorting Hat was deciding on whether or not to put her in Slytherin or Gryffindor.
Her whole family had been in Slytherin and Kevin had told her before leaving that if she wasn’t in Slytherin she would be disowned. At first Reila thought that he was joking but the look on his face was not at all that reassuring. Reila took a deep breath. They never had a good relationship to being with anyway so why did it matter if she was in Slytherin or not? To him, Reila should have been the first born boy. An heir that could take on the family name. He had gotten his wish a year later when her brother was born. Zachery was dotted on and received more attention from both of their parents. Kevin barely glanced at her way anymore. Reila muttered curses under neath her breath as she made her way to the three broomsticks. Last summer Kevin had practically told her that she will follow in his footsteps. That she will become a Death Eater like the rest of her family when she came of age. And that wouldn’t be until two years from now. He also said that he didn’t care if she was ready or not. She would be forced if she had to. Lovely family sure, Reila thought as she opened up the door and entered the three broomsticks. She took off her cloak and folded it before walking over and ordering her a butterbeer. If she was of age she would have tried a firewiskey. She always wondered what they would taste like.
Reila let her thoughts wondered off again as she waited for her drink, placing her money on the counter. She looked around as a thought occurred to her. She might even get a chance to see Kyle. Her cheeks turned an interesting shade of crimson as she thought back to her childhood friend. The two of them were almost inseparable from the moment that they had met. What she didn’t know was that her father had been considering Kyle as a future husband for Reila. Both of their fathers were Death Eaters and were expected to follow in their footsteps. Despite that they did have a lot of common. She pushed a couple of strands of her hair that had managed to fall in her eyes. She accepted her drink with a nod of thanks as she slid the money over before glancing around and spotting a table to the far left corner. Reila made a small dash for it. She always loved being by herself whenever she could be. She did have a group of close friends. The fifteen year old shook her head as she sat down sipping her butterbeer as she stared at the table, her thoughts taking over her mind again. She bit down on her lower lip absentmindly as she reached up playing with her necklace again. It looks like it’s going to be a boring day, Reila thought with a small snort.

After spending an entire day at home cleaning up and dealing with an extremely active three year old, Andromeda decided it was time head to Hogsmeade. She hadn't been there in weeks, and honestly she missed it. While truthfully adoring the shops and pubs there, it was always Hogwarts that she wanted to catch a glimpse of. The castle held so many memories for her (some pleasant, some not), going to Hogsmeade every once in a while almost made her feel like she was the same seventeen year old girl she had once been. In an instant she dressed Nymphadora, she wasn't going to leave her daughter at home by herself, and got what they would be needing ready. Once she was in her robes, and Dora had what she wanted to take, they went through the fire with Andromeda shouting "Hogsmeade!" clearly and they were off. Stumbling out of the fire, clutching Nymphadora so as not to drop her, Andromeda dusted the soot off of her and found herself in The Three Broomsticks.
Briefly considering spending some time here, Andromeda noticing that it was much too crowded for her liking, decided to go elsewhere for the day. The only other place she could think of was the Hogshead. Not her favorite place but it was better than dealing with a load of people. Smiling and politely saying "Hello." at every few people, Andromeda carried her daughter through all the people and out the door. Once they were outside Andromeda set Nymphadora down but held her hand as they walked towards the Hogshead. While they were walking Nymphadora would try to pull away from her mother and Andromeda would pull her back towards her. There were a few times that Dora tried to pull her hand away but that wasn't happening either. There was no way Andromeda was letting her go around so many people, Dora was still so small that she would easily get hurt. Quietly Andromeda told her daughter that if she didn't quit they were going home and she wouldn't be able to play with her toys for ten whole minutes. That seemed to stop Dora trying to pull away and wonder off.
But it didn't stop her being a little girl, and Nymphadora was easily intrigued by just about everything that she saw. Birds are especially what caught the three year old's eye and at the first one she saw flying around, Dora was jumping up and down saying "The bewd mummy! The bewd!" The excitement ringing in her tiny voice, making people passing by look and smile at her. Well some smiled while others looked at her like she couldn't teach her child to keep her voice down in public. The rude looks, Andromeda ignored as she smiled down at her little girl and said "I know. I see them darling, do you like those birds?" Happy her daughter found something she was enjoying. Nymphadora nodded and enthusiastically said "I do Mummy. Can I have a bewd pwwweeaaassee?" and Andromeda laughed then told her "I'll have to talk to your father later." That definitely wasn't going to happen. Liking birds outside was one thing, bringing one into the house was another.
Finally after two agonizing minutes of Nymphadora begging for a bird they were at the Hogshead. Andromeda picked the tree year old up again and walked inside. Thankfully it crowded in here. Actually there were only three tables occupied in the entire place. There was a rather suspicious looking man at one table, what looked like a banshee at another. At there very last table there was a girl with long blonde hair, who looked like she was just a witch, probably still a student at Hogwarts. She nodded at the girl before sitting Nymphadora on one side of the table then sitting at the other herself. Just as Andromeda was trying to get comfortable, Dora took off in the direction of the girl shouting "HI! HI! HI!" As if she knew the girl but Andromeda knew that she didn't, and that made her take off after the three year old, she didn't know this girl and had no idea if she would hurt her or not. Catching Nymphadora by her arm, Andromeda carefully swooped her daughter in her arms, cradling her like a baby and then she turned to the girl and said "I'm so sorry about that. You must look like someone she's seen before." looking apologetic. Andromeda wasn't sure if the girl was used to strange three year olds running up to her or not, but her bet was that she wasn't.

Reila propped her elbow on the table and rested her head on her hand. She stared down at the table with a glazy eyed look. She let her thoughts drift off as she started to daydream again. She was so relieved that Zach wasn’t with her today. Usually the fourteen year old monster would be demanding that he go after her. And his excuse for that? He was the only son in the family. The one who would carry on the family name. He had to make sure that she was alright. As if I can’t take care of myself! The fifteen year old thought with a small hump. She was an independent young woman who could look after herself. She didn’t need anyone looking after her. She would even get angry with the house elves as they start to clean up after her. Reila knew she was slowly disappointing her father and probably sending him to an early grave. And I don’t care, she thought rather savagely. What has he done for me? Nothing. It’s all about Zach. About how talented he is and smart and he would follow in father’s footsteps. The blonde haired girl growled a little to herself. She could feel her temper rising again and that wasn’t a good thing. She needed to calm herself down and fast.
As if responding to her thoughts, Reila raised her head to look at the woman with a little child. She nodded back mutely to her before turning back to her half full butterbeer. She reached out to play with her necklace. Reila was once again pulled away from her thoughts as the little girl was running to her. She chuckled to herself. She didn’t know why but the girl reminded her of Hailey. That had brighten her up slightly but only just. She smiled a little when the woman, whom she assumed to be her mother, apologized. Reila shook her head. “It’s alright. There’s no trouble done. Hey there cutie,” The fifteen year old crooned as she reached out to gently tickle her arm. “I have an eleven year old sister. And a fourteen year old brother. So I guess you could say I’m used to it,” There was a thoughtful look on her expression as she was wondering who this woman was. “Reila Thomas,” she introduced herself. “Soon to be starting my fifth year and Slytherin,” She wasn’t looking forward to this year. Reila knew that for sure it would be hard. There was more homework assignments and studying. Not to mention O.W.Ls as well. It wasn’t even in the start of the school year and yet her father was pressuring her.
Typical, the fifteen year old thought. Sometimes I wish he would just get off my back. It was bad enough that Zach was surpassing her in all of their classes. Getting good grades and being the teacher’s pet. At least that was what she thought. Stuck up little…Reila bit on the inside of her cheeks as her eyes held no emotion, nothing to suggest what she was thinking right now. Which was a good thing she suppose. Reila pushed a couple of strands of her hair that managed to fall in her eyes. “How old is she?” she inquired, breaking the silence that had fallen between the two. The child looked no younger than perhaps three or four, she thought. “I’m sure she must be a handful indeed,” There was no cold look in her eyes right now. They were filled with warmth and kindness as she looked at the child. Reila loved children. She was good with her siblings when they were little. Often times she wondered what it would be like to raise a family and be like her mother. Well…not quite like her, she thought to herself. Samantha hardly ever paid any attention to her unless she needed something. And the only person that Kevin ever cared about was Zach.
Grooming him to be a perfect little gentlemen and a Death Eater to boot. Reila shook her head in slight disgust at that thought. Kevin was a Death Eater and her mother was a supporter of Voldemort, believing in the blood purity. Reila and Zach were expected to follow in their footsteps. Pathetic, she thought with a small frown. As far as she was concerned she was in control of her own life. No one could try to run her own life. Telling her what to do and where to go and what to wear. Even at the young age of fifteen Reila knew her own mind. She sighed a little to herself as she pulled away from her thoughts again, trying to get her expression to be completely smooth as possible. Her eyes were flashing. Turning back to the conversation Reila tickled her arm again. “What’s our name?” she asked with a gentle smile at the little girl. She looked around again. To her surprise it wasn’t crowded still. Then again it is summer, Reila thought to herself, running a hand through her hair.

Nymphadora usually gave Andromeda a really good workout, she was a three year old who was always on the go. Some days it was almost too much for her to handle on her own and those days Andromeda found herself wishing her husband was home to help out. But Dora really was Andromeda's whole world and so much more. There was nothing she would have traded that little girl for. Dora was trying to get away from her Mother when the girl said “It’s alright. There’s no trouble done. Hey there cutie,” Andromeda saw trouble in it, and would certainly be working harder on teaching Nymphadora not to do things like that anymore. But she couldn't help but smile as Dora giggled because her arms was being tickled. Then this young looking girl said “I have an eleven year old sister. And a fourteen year old brother. So I guess you could say I’m used to it,” Andromeda knew that would make a difference in anyone but you could never be too safe with anyone in these dark days "Yes, but I don't think it's every day that a strange child is running at you." she said half laughing but still serious in a sense.
Andromeda wasn't one to take risks with her daughter at the moment, she was still too young. Andromeda was setting Nymphadora down when the girl spoke yet again introducing herself as “Reila Thomas,” and then adding on “Soon to be starting my fifth year and Slytherin,” Andromeda looked at Reila skeptically but shortly regained her composure when she said she was a Slytherin, having been one herself Andromeda knew exactly what kind of witches and wizards come out of Slytherin come the end of their seventh year. Not all were as friendly. Not wanting to judge too soon Andromeda put one hand on Dora's stomach to keep her closer to her again, and held one out to shake the girls hand, saying "Andromeda Tonks. Former Slytherin, finished five years ago." She remembered those days clearly and missed them dearly. Hogwarts was starting to feel like a distant dream, sitting across from this girl who said she was about to begin her fifth year, it sort of made Andromeda feel old...even if she was only twenty-two. Dora was looking distractedly at the banshee while Reila seemed to be in her own little world, Andromeda didn't pay much attention to that as she wordlessly summoned hers and Dora's bags from the table they were going to sit at, and once they were in her hand, she pulled out a toy for Dora to play with. Three year olds were extremely easy to entertain, and that was Dora's favorite muggle toy and would keep her busy for a little bit. Reila seemed to come back to reality as she asked "How old is she?” to which Andromeda replied "She's three, just turned about a month ago." in a very friendly voice, it was amazing how big Dora was getting, she was growing much too quickly for Andromeda's liking, "And she is a handful," She told her as Reila said that she must have been a handful, Reila had no idea how much of a handful she could be. Dora was always on the go, getting into something or making a bigger mess for her mummy to clean up. "But she's my everything." She added on in an afterthought, smiling down at her little girl. There wasn't a thing Andromeda wouldn't do for her. Thinking about how Reila had told her she was a Slytherin Andromeda began to wonder what kind of family she had come from. Where they the strict kind or the laid back, I-don't-care-what-you-long-as-you-marry-right type. If they were anything like the Black's then she really felt bad for her, unless she was like that too. Though that wasn't the vibe that Andromeda was getting from her. Thinking about the Black's brought back many memories for Andromeda. Some were happy while others were not so happy for her. They were in her past and she wanted to do her best to focus on her present. Andromeda had been dazed, looking at Dora with a blank expression when she turned back to Reila, whose eyes she saw flashed which made her wonder what she was thinking about. She started to say "Wh-" before Reila tickled Dora's arm while she played and asked the deeply immersed three year old “What’s our name?” Nymphadora looked up and said "Dora." Shortly before returning her focus back to her toy. Andromeda laughed and spoke up not long after that "Her name's Nymphadora but my husband thought that Nymphadora's too much to say, so we call her Dora for short." looking down at her little girl again, her dark hair falling over half of her face, making her reach up to push it back out of the way. Out of the corner of her eye Andromeda saw Reila look around as if she was expecting more company, but she knew that there weren't going to be very many more people, summer or not. This really wasn't peoples favorite place to go.[/blockquote]

The fifteen year old pushed her hair out of her eyes. They slowly turned an icy shade of blue. Reila was a Metamorphmagus. Her appearance started to change the moment she was born. Her favorite hair colors were deep red and dark and light brown once she started experimenting with her Metamorphmagus powers. Once she had gotten them under control that is. She shook her head slightly to herself trying to get rid of her thoughts. She started to smile warmly at the young girl as she put her hand in her pockets. It brushed against her wand and Reila was relieved that it was still there. There was no way she would have gone without it. She felt a couple of candy wrappers. Father won’t be too pleased, she thought wearily biting on the inside of her cheeks as she pulled out a chocolate frog card and glanced down. The person on the picture was Morgana. And Reila had five of her. “Do you want one?” she inquired of the young girl as she raised the card up. “I have five of these and I’ve been looking for someone to take it,” Aureila was the oldest of three children. The youngest being only eleven. Maybe that’s why she was finding it easy enough to get along with this young girl. Granted she had just met the girl today but still. Oh if Father could see me now, she thought with plain amusement.
She could almost picture the look on his face. At that moment the door to The Three Broomsticks opened and Reila looked over in curiosity. She couldn’t help but to groan as her eyes fell on her fourteen year old brother. His light brown hair styled with Kevin’s approval and his brown eyes glittered. He almost looked like their father. She turned away from her brother wondering what on earth he was doing here. He must be up to no good. Reila managed a small smile as she shook her hand. “Nice to meet you Mrs. Tonks,” she said politely. Leave it to her to be polite in public. Then again she was taught that when she turned eight years old. Something all purebloods, according to her father, had to go through. She perked up a little when she heard that she was the company of a former Slytherin, or a former housemate. “Is the fifth year as hard as they said they are?” Reila inquired. “I mean I know about the O.W.L.s and the studying and everything else,” dear merlin she was rambling again. The fifteen year old glanced at her brother at the corner of her eye. Zach was at the counter placing his order. She idly wondered how long she would have before he looked around and noticed that she was there. Her hair changed to a light brown to match his hair but as an afterthought added some blonde streaks.
A smirk was playing across her lips as she pulled herself out of her thoughts again. “Three? And already she’s big,” she replied with a smile, remembering how Hailey was. She nodded. Reila then wondered if what Andromeda felt was the way every mother felt about her children. Then again people can be different I suppose, she thought thinking back to her mother and shook her head slightly. She laughed. “Well hello Dora. You can call me Rei.” She looked curiously at the toy that Dora was playing with. It was nothing compared to the toys that her and her siblings were given when they were that age. She couldn’t help but to laugh. “It certainly is a handful,” she agreed, her eyes twinkling slightly. Reila opened her mouth to ask a question but she was interrupted by Zach’s drawling voice. “Reila my darling sister,” She cursed in her head, a couple of swear words that she had learned from overhearing her father. Merlin help me now, the fifteen year old pleaded as her brother walked over to her. Get lost, she told him mentally. “I am surprised to find you here indeed,” He commented as there was a helpless look on her face now. “I told Father-hello ma’am,” Zach had raised his head to look at Andromeda. Just go away for once why don’t you, she hissed to herself.
“Mrs. Tonks this is my brother Zach,” Reila said through gritted teeth. She looked like she was ready to kill. “Pleasure is mine indeed,” The fourteen year old boy said ever so politely that Reila couldn’t help but to look at him sharply, wondering what on earth he was up to. “I was just on my way out. Father trusted some of his business to me.” Reila quirked an eyebrow. “Does it involve you running away and never coming back?” she asked slyly. Zach glared at her as silence fell between the two of them. She had a look of pure innocence on her face. She wished that he was at home working on his pureblood manners. Merlin knows he needs to work on them, Reila thought to herself with another slight shake of her head.

Andromeda watched as Aureila changed her eye color to various shades of blue, giving her a quizzical look. You see, Andromeda had never met another metamorphmagus besides Nymphadora who had yet to learn how to control it. She looked down at the girl who had a few pieces of yellow-ish green hair running through the mousy brown hair she normally had. Andromeda desperately wanted for Dora to learn how to control it so she could have a normal hair color. But she knew three was much too young for her to learn that sort of control. Just as Andromeda was about to ask Aureila how she had learned how to control her ability she pulled out a chocolate frog card and held it up to show Nymphadora. “Do you want one?” she had asked and Dora looked more closely to see what it was “I have five of these and I’ve been looking for someone to take it,” Dora looked at her mother as if she was waiting for a no but Andromeda surprised her with a gentle "Go ahead, if you want it." Meda was very particular about Nymphadora about taking anything from someone she didn't know but she didn't feel as if Aureila would do anything to harm her.
Almost timidly Nymphadora reached for the card, a little curious about what it had on it. She had chocolate frogs before but she rarely paid much attention to the cards, so naturally she was going to be curious now that she was noticing it. It was then that someone else walked into The Three Broomsticks and Andromeda turned to look just as Aureila did and saw it was a boy who couldn't have been much younger than Reila was. It made her wonder if the Slytherin girl knew him. Though, as Andromeda looked back at the girl, it seemed that she did. Her attention was pulled away again as Aureila said “Nice to meet you Mrs. Tonks,” and Andromeda grimaced slightly. She knew that Aureila was just being polite, she had been raised to be polite in public when she was younger too, but being called Mrs. made her feel like she was older than she really was. Half of the time she wanted to look over her shoulder for Ted's mother.
Dreaming about what it would be like to be called Mrs. Tonks and actually being called that were two totally different experiences. She hadn't expected to feel so old like she was now but she was comfortable enough with it. Though she would have rather been called by her first name. She was just about to tell Aureila this when the Slytherin girl said “Is the fifth year as hard as they said they are? “I mean I know about the O.W.L.s and the studying and everything else,” To this Andromeda shook her head "For some it is, while others not so much. It depends on the person really. As long as you study for the exams you should do fine." she herself had very few problems her fifth year. To her it really got a little more difficult after fifth year once your subjects became more concentrated towards what you wanted to do after Hogwarts. Andromeda hoped her answer helped Aureila out a bit. "From my past experience not stressing about it really works." she added on as a bit of an after thought. Andromeda knew that everyone's studying styles differed but she she was merely giving her an advice. Aureila was perfectly entitled to whatever tactic she wanted to use, as long as it didn't involve cheating on the exams.
Again Andromeda watched as Aureila changed her appearance, though this time it was her hair. And it was made to match that of the boy who had walked in not too long ago but with blonde in it as well as brown. She made a mental note to remember to ask Aureila how she learned to control it so she could eventually help Nymphadora control her own. Nodding as the girl said “Three? And already she’s big,” sometimes Andromeda could have sworn she saw Nymphadora grow everytime she looked at her. Still she said "Yes. My precious baby is growing up so fast. I can't believe she's already three." looking at her daughter. Nymphadora really was the most important thing in her life, and who she loved the most. Sure she loved her husband, a lot but it was a different sort of admiration for Dora that put her in an even more special place in her heart. "It feels like just yesterday she was born." she said aloud though it was mostly to herself but Aureila was more than welcome to put her own input in should she feel like it.
A mothers love for her child was hard to describe in words, it was more of a bonding feeling that could not be expressed. Yet as Andromeda stole yet another glance at her daughter all of the love in the world flooded into her. That was the single best thing that she had ever done in her life, and she knew it. Nymphadora made up for the small amount of guilt that Andromeda felt for abandoning her sisters without much of an explanation. It was even harder to regret her choices now that she was had a daughter of her own to love. Aureila started to talk to Dora for a split second and then agreed with Andromeda about children being a handful, it was especially true for ages two through four. Toddlers kept you going and the temper tantrums that could sprout, wow it was a tiring job.
At that moment the boy who had walked in a few moments ago joined them at their table, “Reila my darling sister,” he had said. Andromeda wasn't shocked as Aureila had already told her that she had a younger brother, but she hadn't expect him to be in the very pub that they were. From the expression that Aureila was wearing, he wasn't very welcome to her, he didn't seem to notice this because he continued in saying “I am surprised to find you here indeed,” and Andromeda caught the look on Aureila's face. It was one she recognized because it was similar to the one she wore when her elder sister, Bellatrix, came around her. She always felt helpless when Bella was around because she had to be extra careful of what she said and did. One slip up could have meant trouble since it would go straight back to her parents. Andromeda did not miss those days. The boy continued, “I told Father-hello ma’am,” what his father had been told she never found out because it seemed as if the boy just realized that she was there. Andromeda just nodded and said "Hello." back with a friendly smile.
Andromeda wondered what was with the look that she got as she told her “Mrs. Tonks this is my brother Zach,” Again with the Mrs.Tonks bit "It's a pleasure to meet you Zach. Please call me Andromeda, you too Aureila." she said after Zach said the pleasure was his. Zach told them that he was out on business and it took all she had not to laugh when Aureila shot “Does it involve you running away and never coming back?” at him, looking completely innocent. No, could not laugh at that, it would not be polite and completely against the small bit of her raising that she wanted to keep a hold of. Feeling uncomfortable with the silence she turned back to Nymphadora who was looking at the newcomer with a questioning look on her face.

Reila was quiet, biting down on the inside of her cheeks. She was lost in her thoughts again, which means her metamorphmagus powers were growing a bit uncontrolled. While she did maintain some control of them the point of the matter was that she never held any control. As much as she would think she did. A small sigh escaped from her lips. Her eyes, now a sapphire blue, showed no hint of emotion at the moment. Not a clue to what she was thinking right now which was good for her. Even if she did say so herself. The fifteen year old smiled as the little girl took it. She was a little afraid that she wouldn’t. Oh if only her father would see her now. Although being in the company of a former Slytherin wouldn’t have been a bother to him she would have known that. Honestly, the blonde haired girl thought with a small shake of her head. Sometimes I just don’t get him. She was too much like Kyle, her boyfriend who was in the same year and fellow Slytherin. The mention of him made her cheeks turned a bit crimson. They had known each other since they were kids. Reila had a feeling that her father was looking at him for a proper match for his eldest daughter. Arrange marriages, she thought with a small scowl. She didn’t like the sound of that at all.
Everyone who was from a good pureblood family goes through it, her father had told her from time to time. She remembered asking him about those that didn’t. They were disowned from the family, he answered with a simple shrug before going on about Hogwarts and blood status. How being a pureblood makes one almost royalty. Hpmhp, she thought. It’s bad enough I’m being almost forced to go to parties and outings with Mother with other Purebloods. Reila pulled herself out of her thoughts and smiled a little shyly. “I’m almost good with my classes then. My father said that I have to pass everything. You know being from a pureblood family he doesn’t want any failures on his children. As if my sister’s sorting was hard enough,” she said with another sigh. “She started Hogwarts and was sorted into Ravenclaw while everyone has been in Slytherin.” She found herself rambling to the young woman again. There was a small smile on her lips. “I suppose everyone feels that way.” She continued to tickle her arm again. “They all grow up fast.” Being the eldest of two youngest siblings Reila knew the experience all too well. As well as trying to compete for their parents attention. Most of it had been going to her brother anyways.
One of the bad things about being the oldest I guess, Reila thought with another small sigh biting down on her lower lip. She choose to ignore her brother, watching with a disgusted look. “Is there anywhere that I can go without you having to suddenly appear?” she inquired with a rather poisonous tone to her voice. Her eyes, a dark and stormy grey now, flashed with anger. Zach smirked. “Careful Rei-Rei. You don’t want Father to hear about your behavior do you?” She almost wanted to murder him for calling her that. She doubled her hands into fists, ready to swing at him. She took a couple of calming breaths as she forced herself to think something pleasant. Both siblings smiled almost shyly when she told them to call her by her name. Reila nodded. “Yes ma-I mean Andromeda,” Zach had a thoughtful look to his face as the blonde haired Slytherin glanced over to him. Now what was he thinking? She asked herself with an annoyed look on her face. Her brother shrugged as if he had decided something. She would have to beat it out of him. “Well I must get going now,” Zach commented as Reila quickly bit the inside of her cheeks to keep herself from saying anything. “I guess I should see you at home dearest sister? And it was a pleasure to have meeting you,” he added to Andromeda.
“But I have to run back home.” Reila eyed him with a suspicious look on her face. He was up to something. That much she knew. She watched him walking off breathing a sigh of relief as she glanced up at the older woman. “I’m sorry about him,” She apologized. “He’s a bit of a brat. The only son and he takes that to heart,” she added with another scowl. She had often heard that Zach should have been the first born instead of her. That she should have been born a boy. Oh well, Reila thought running a hand through her hair. It was back to her original blonde but this time with light brown streaks. “I’m a metamorphmagus. I was born one. It surprised the rest of my family but it’s useful,” she shrugged. Indeed she had found uses for it. Once she had learned how to control it that was. Of course that had taken her years.

Pure-blood formalities were not foreign to Andromeda, she had come from one of the oldest pure-blood families that there were. That being said, her parents were firm believers in arranged marriages. Andromeda held back a snort remembering those conversations, look at her now. Classes were important to her parents growing up as well; it was just yet another way to prove that (somehow) pure-bloods were better than those who weren’t. The outings got to be rather excruciating as well, Andromeda vividly remembered her mother forcing her and her sisters to dress up in elegant gowns, and look for possible husbands. Just the memory of it made Meda cringe internally. Sure the balls were fun to attend but your parents trying to find you someone to marry got to be exhausting. Andromeda was thinking about her sixteenth birthday where Narcissa had made faces behind their mothers back while she fussed about Andromeda’s hair, when she heard the fifteen year old say “I’m almost good with my classes then. My father said that I have to pass everything. You know being from a pureblood family he doesn’t want any failures on his children. As if my sister’s sorting was hard enough,” Oh yes, Andromeda definitely remembered those conversations with her own father, they had them every year.
Reila went on about her father not wanting to have failure children and then about her sister being sorted into Ravenclaw “She started Hogwarts and was sorted into Ravenclaw while everyone has been in Slytherin.” Meda saw nothing wrong with being in Ravenclaw, then again she was married to a hufflepuff “It’s a surprise, isn’t it? My entire family has been in Slytherin but then one of my cousins was sorted into Gryffindor.” She said watching her daughter from the corner of her eye, making sure she wouldn’t run out the door or anywhere else “There’s nothing wrong with Ravenclaw, it’s a pretty decent house.” She said as a bit of an after though, smiling slightly remembering how the hat came close to putting her in Ravenclaw but fortunately for her, the Slytherin came out stronger than the other. Many pure-blood families wanted to keep their family in one house and most of them wound up disappointed if one didn’t fall in line with the others. Andromeda also knew that the hat probably had a reason for putting Aureila’s sister in Ravenclaw, just like it had putting Sirius in Gryffindor. She sighed thinking about Sirius, she missed her cousin. She had grown up with Sirius; he was always her favorite cousin. Sure, there was a time that she was closer to her sisters than any other but he was always the one who she could find a common ground with. It seemed that that had never changed. Some days Nymphadora reminded her so of her cousin, that worried her because her Sirius was a bit of a prank master. It made Meda really nervous, especially thinking about sending her to Hogwarts, luckily there was still a long way to go before that happened. Or was it? With the rate that Dora was growing it would be next week and she would be on that train “I suppose everyone feels that way.” Meda nodded to that, watching with a smile as Reila ticked Nymphadora’s arm again, causing the little girl to giggle and ignore her toy for a moments time “They all grow up fast.” Andromeda smiled and nodded again, her daughter was living proof of that. It was hard to believe that she was already three years old, it still hadn’t hit her yet. “Wait until you have one of your own.” She told her thoughtfully, sure children did grow at alarming rates but it was so much faster when it was your child compared to say, brothers or sisters. Perhaps it was just the memory of that child growing in you and then raising them up that made it such an alarming notice. Nymphadora started to cry which made Andromeda look down to see what was wrong with her, and then she saw the broken toy on the floor not another one she thought to herself, this was the fourth toy within the last two week “Oh Dora.” She said and with a flick of her wand the toy became one piece once more “There,” she told her, leaning down to kiss her daughter on the cheek “Be more careful, alright?” broken toys weren’t as bad compared to other things, like broken bones or glass. Neither had happened yet with Dora but it was still a matter of time. Not interested in the toy any more, Nymphadora tried to climb into her mothers lap “What is it?” she asked the young girl, picking her up to sit her on her lap at the same time “I’m hungry mummy.” Nymphadora told her, as she did this her eyes turned from their normal dark brown to a clear blue color that mirrored Andromeda’s perfectly. “Alright my darling, I’ve got your fruit in the bag, hold on.” Meda grabbed the small bag that she had brought for this occasion; from it she drew a smaller plastic bag with perfectly cut fruit in it. The bag had a charm on it which prevented the fruit from spoiling or getting too hot. It was actually rather useful for purposes like this. Conjuring up a platter Andromeda put the bag’s contents onto the plate and let Dora eat it, hopefully that would keep her quiet for a little while. While Dora was eating the fruit that Andromeda had packed for her, Meda paid attention to the conversation going on between the two siblings. Listening to the pair of them it sort of reminded her how things could be with her sisters as the got older, the two certainly developed a habit for just showing up everywhere she had gone. Even Zach threatening Reila with their father reminded her so of her sisters and it made her miss them even more. This was a though that Andromeda pushed aside, not wanting to think about such things in public, it would definitely make her much too emotional. When Zach said he was leaving Andromeda said “It was a pleasure meeting you too.” Though, she wasn’t sure what to make of the expression on his face. “I’m sorry about him,” Aureila apologized once her brother was gone “He’s a bit of a brat. The only son and he takes that to heart,” Oh the common pure-blood boy/girl issue. Every well-known, respectable pure-blood family longed for a male heir, someone who could carry on the family name. Boys were generally treated as princes by their parents, it made Andromeda wonder what her life would have been like had she been a boy “My parents wanted boys. To their disappointment they got three girls. They made due with my sisters and myself.” She said, it was a bit off hand yet very truthful. Meda watched with curiosity as Aureila, yet again changed her appearance this time to blonde hair. “I’m a metamorphmagus. I was born one. It surprised the rest of my family but it’s useful,” well that was obvious to Andromeda, she would recognize one seeing that her daughter was a metamorphmagus as well, the spells and potions were beyond the abilities of a fifth year “Nymphadora here is too, it surprised me when my daughter was born with green hair. Her abilities are more attached to her emotions so her colors are changing constantly.” Andromeda found the ability useful yet could be irritating at times. [/blockquote]
