Normally Reila didn’t venture out into the wizarding world that much unless she was at the Taylor Mansion visiting Kyle. She needed a break today, feeling that she would snap at her brother. Zach was being a total idiot today for reasons she didn’t know. She needed to get away from her mansion before she either hexed or cursed him. She wouldn’t feel any remorse but she knew both of her parents would be completely livid. While Hailey would laugh herself silly Reila had to exercise self-control. The fifteen year old was upstairs in her room, finding her wand and her traveling cloak. Her blonde hair was left hanging down in soft waves today.
Whenever she was in the mood she would end up trying different hair styles with her wand. Her blue eyes held that harsh and cold look. She couldn’t wait to go back to Hogwarts. Reila would be in her fifth year and she had heard that the fifth year was the hardest with the O.W.Ls. Kevin would constantly remind her to do her best or else she would be disowned from the family. I bet that would go well, she thought with heavy sarcasm as she found what she was looking for. I get bad grades he threatens me. If Zach gets bad grades nothing ever happens to him. She shook her head to herself as she bounced down the stairs and into the kitchen where her mother was.
Reila told her that she needed to get away for a while. The bad part was that Zach had overheard and wanted, or rather demanded, that he should go to. Hesitating a little Samantha took her arm and apparated to Diagon Alley. As long as she promised to stay in touch and stay safe she would be back for her in a couple of hours. The two siblings gotten a couple of Gallons each but they could always go to the wizarding bank to get some money out of the vault. Reila glared at her brother. “Why do you always get to go wherever I go!” She hissed at him as they wondered the streets of Diagon Alley. Zach grinned. “Because I can. Because I’m the son of the family,”
She wanted to kill him for that. A murderous look flashed through her eyes as Zach grinned again. Without another word Reila turned and stalked off. Before she knew it Reila was at Flourish and Blotts. Good, she thought. I might lose him here. “Don’t walk off without me!” Zach snarled as he followed her. Reila rolled her eyes, wanting nothing better to do than to strangle him. “Get away!” She hissed quietly. “I’ll tell father about this when we get home!” He smirked at the flicker of fear in her eyes and walked off in the bookshop, leaving her rooted to the spot with fear. There was a good reason that she feared Kevin Thomas.
The fifteen year old Slytherin shook her head, bringing herself to her surroundings as she quickly wondered through the store. Walking between the isles her eyes fell on a redhead girl, who looked to be older than her. Reila had a curious look as she bounced forward, shrugging off her silver and green traveling cloak. “Hello?” she had a shy look on her face as she looked at the other person.

Reila looked up at the older girl. She was sure that she had seen her around Hogwarts before. She shyly returned her smile as she shook her head. “No. I was just wondering around. Looking for some stuff,” the girl looked about two years older than the Slytherin girl. She nodded at her question. “Yes I do. I’m a fifth year Slytherin. What about you?” she inquired. “I think I saw you around the school before. During breaks and whatnot,” she added as an afterthought. She was making sure that she was not babbling like she sometimes would get. It was very annoying as well. She wasn’t sure whether or not if she would like her fifth year. Reila had just been made a perfect and then there were the O.W.L.s exams she was required to take by the school. As well as her father’s constant reminder that she had better pass every single one of them. Isn’t this going to be fun? She asked herself with a soft sigh.
Her parents, more noticeably her father, had already set high expectations for her. They already told her that she would make the Head Girl spot in her seventh year. And the look on her brother’s face wasn’t at all that pleasant. It was clear to Reila that he wanted the spot for himself. To put the spotlight back on himself. If he wants it he can have it, she thought. Dad was right. I should have been born the second. Less expectations. And it would have certainly made for competing for their attentions more easier I suppose. Pulling herself out of her thoughts she turned her attention to the other girl. It was a bad habit for her to lost track of the conversation that was taking place. “I’m not happy about it though,” she commented. “My letter arrived and I’ve been made a perfect. That and I have to take my exams. Not to mention my father’s pressure on me doing well,”
He would torture me if I fail, she thought miserably. The last time she had been tortured was last year for slacking off her school work. And to think it all started when I was eight. Reila managed to hide her small shudder. She took a deep breath and forced herself out of her thoughts again. “I’m Aureila Thomas, but most people call me Reila or Rei,” she shrugged, indicating that she didn’t care what the red haired girl called her. As long as she wasn’t called Rei-Rei she was good. No one called her that without getting psychically hurt. Zach was one of the…special ones she guessed. She couldn’t hurt him, however much she wanted to. He would have gone straight to their father and complain that she was assaulting him. Baby, she thought.
“What book are you looking at?” she wanted to know. Reila loved to read. She kept her eyes on the other girl for a moment before looking away at the bookshelf. She didn’t feel like putting on the cold and aloof act. She wasn’t in the mood to do it anyways. She was someone who didn’t give anyone the benefit of the doubt unless they were a pureblood. Or did to anyways. It was her sister who was slowly changing her. That would be a good thing in a way if she wanted to look at it a different way. Her eyes held a thoughtful look to them as she started to become lost in her thoughts again.
