I don't stand to Fly
I'm not that
Naive
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Breakfast, the most important meal of the day. If it was such a necessary part of the morning, why was Savannah not so thrilled about it? Oh right, she had fallen out of the habit of waking up so early in the morning that it seemed rather odd to be doing it now. With a moan Savannah forced herself to get out of her warm bed and dress in her robes. She really did not miss the bulky, uncomfortable and rather unattractive Ravenclaw robes but they were mandatory. After she was dressed and her hair was styled to her desire Savannah left with one of the other girls from her dormitory. Her name was Grace Bordelyn, a fellow half-blood with long blonde hair and startling hazel eyes. They two had been friends since the second month of first year, and now it was their fourth.
The walk from the Ravenclaw tower to the Great Hall went by in silence but neither girl made much of an attempt to strike up a conversation. It was much to early for much chatter, and even Savannah's mind wasn't functioning properly. She hoped that would change once classes that day began, she would hate to have been on the slow side for astronomy, which was her favorite class. Six floors passed by Savannah's eyes in a blur. With her being as tired as she was in the single moment, she had almost forgotten how she wound up out of her bed in the first place, everything seemed rather dream like for her. After reassuring herself that she was most certainly awake Savannah had an inkling that she was forgetting something. She had her books with her, them being the most important to her. Her under garments were certainly where they belonged. Then she checked her robe pockets for her wand - nothing.
Scolding herself mentally Savannah told Grace that she had to go back to the common room and grab her wand. Grace asked if Savannah wanted her to go along so she wouldn't be walking alone but Savannah shook her head. After insisting that she would be perfectly fine going on her own Savannah doubled back to once more return to Ravenclaw tower. Automatically she spotted her wand, grabbed it from her bed and sprinted back down to the great hall, saying "Excuse me, excuse me." to several people who she nearly bumped into along the way. Well that was nothing out of the ordinary for Savannah, actually it was a surprise that she hadn't run into anyone. Most days she had the horrible habit of running into some not so friendly Slytherins. Luckily she had Addison to back her up when ever she got into a tough spot. Thinking of the older girl made Savannah realize that she hadn't seen her best friend in a while.
Arriving, finally, at the ground floor Savannah slowed her pace a considerable amount. Entering the great hall she smiled brightly at Addison's usual group of Hufflepuff friends who all smiled back friendly enough. They were pretty accepting, well from what Savannah had seen of them. Unlike some others she had no personal problem with Hufflepuffs in general. She walked over to the Ravenclaw table and grabbed her usual spot beside her friend Grace. Instead of piling food on her platter like the other students around her, Savannah laid her head on the table, much too exhausted to worry about food. In her tired stupor, Savannah forgot that her wand was still in her hand but was reminded of it when something wet fell all over. Confused at first she looked up and the wet hit her directly on the face, soaking her already wet hair. "Oh look, rain." She said softly, happily giggling. Though she knew that the other Ravenclaws around her probably weren't happy about the unexpected wetness Savannah looked around to see if they were enjoying it or not. Confirmed by the looks on their faces Savannah cleared the water up, put her wand in her pocket and laid her head down once more.
